Description
The Montefiore Einstein Department of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery is seeking a board-certified cardiac surgeon to join our full-time faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with experience. We are particularly interested in applicants who are 2 to 5 years out of residency, who attained at least one year of additional training and are eager to build a strong clinical foundation with leadership opportunities.
This faculty position will focus on building a strong cardiac surgery program at one of Montefiore Einstein’s health system hospitals. This hospital serves a population of 700,000 and is expected to deliver a yearly volume 200-350 cardiac surgery cases.
The candidate will contribute to excellence in the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery including multiarterial revascularization, valvular surgery, as well as the institution of short-term mechanical support with ECMO and Impella 5.5 technologies.
