Portneuf Medical Center has served the health care needs of Eastern Idaho since 1907. With over 1,300 employees, Portneuf Medical Center has emerged as the second largest employer in Bannock County. Our mission, vision, and value statements explain that we believe in providing compassionate, quality health care to every patient. Portneuf Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and is licensed by the State Department of Health and Welfare. Our Medical Center is a governmental, 231-bed, acute care facility (plus 14 NICU-bassinets and 22 well-baby nursery bassinets). Our services include 24-hour Emergency Care, Urgent Care, Lifeflight, Cancer Center, Heart & Vascular Center, Portneuf Care Center, Sports/Industrial Medicine, and Women and Children's Services (Prenatal, OB/GYN, NICU, Pediatric), Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health, and a Sleep Disorder Center. Offsite Hospital facilities include an Urgent Care, a Family Practice Residency Clinic, and a Work Med Occupational Health Clinic.
