Mountain States Health Alliance is a private not-for-profit health system in the beautiful Tri-Cities area of Northeast Tennessee. We have nine hospitals that are owned by the health system and a network reslationship with over sixty additional long-term care facilities and smaller acute care hospitals in a 23 county region with a draw of nearly a million people. Our physician recruitment department assists private practice and academic groups to source candidates for their openings.

We are currently recruiting for Endocrinologists who are interested in an academic position for the Internal Medicine Department at East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine. As a member of the faculty, you will be involved with medical student and resident education, as well as seeing patients from the community who are in need of care from an Endocrinologist.

We live in a special place. Johnson City, Tennessee is a city of 60,000 with one of the most pleasant lifestyles you will find anywhere. It is a University town will excellent restaurants and shopping. We enjoy a low crime rate and low cost-of-living. We are one of the most tax-friendly states in the country and do not have a state income tax. From an education perspective, our public schools are traditionally in the top five percent in the state and there are excellent Christian school options available. We also have the widest variety of outdoor recreation options that will find anywhere. Everything from golf to mountain biking, hiking, whitewater rafting, snow skiing, water skiing are some examples. Culturally, In the area we have symphony, ballet, live theater, traveling Broadway productions, and numerous festivals. We are approximately five hours or less to major cities like Atlanta, Nashville, Washington D.C., Charlotte, and Richmond. We have a wonderful regional airport with connections to Atlanta, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Detroit, Memphis, Orlando and other cities.
